This panorama of the University of North Carolina men's basketball team, taken by Christopher Gjevre, captures the fan excitement after the Tar Heels make a slam dunk at the Dean E. Smith Center and ultimately defeat their opponent. The arena, commonly referred to as the Dean Dome, seats 21,750 fans and is named after former North Carolina coach Dean Smith, who coached the team from 1961 to 1997. The Tar Heels are one of the most successful programs in NCAA history and, on March 2, 2010, became the second college basketball program to reach 2,000 wins. They are one of only three Division I Men's Basketball programs to have ever achieved 2,000 victories.Panoramics are 13.5"x40". When framed, about 2-3 inches are added to each side.
