This panorama, taken by Christopher Gjevre, spotlights the TCU Horned Frogs playing at Amon G. Carter Stadium in a colossal, Top-10, Big 12 Conference showdown against Kansas State. Tradition runs deep in the Big 12, and TCU is no exception, where the horned frog has been TCU's mascot longer than TCU has been the University's name. Four students helped make the decision in 1897, when AddRan Christian University (renamed TCU in 1902) was located in Waco. Whether the horned frog was chosen due to the small, spiny lizard’s prevalence on the football practice field, or because its feisty nature matched the tough frontier spirit shown by TCU itself, the TCU student athletes take pride in being called Horned Frogs.Panoramics are 13.5"x40".
